Champion in the Community

Congratulations to Cowden in the Community who were awarded a Judge's Special Recognition Award at the Dunfermline Press and Central Fife Times Community Champion Awards.

At the event held in the Glen Pavilion on Thursday evening, judge and Dunfermline Press and Central Fife Times editor Scott McCartney said that the panel recognised the work that the the Central Park Community Trust does within the local community, delivering sessions for those 18 months to 80 years of age. The charity truly fulfills their commitment to improve the quality of life and outlook within Cowdenbeath and the surrounding area, supporting and inspiring individuals to become physically and emotionally healthy.

Upon receiving the award, Central Park Community Trust chairman Brian Lumsden commented "We are very pleased to receive this prestigious award recognising the scope of the many activities provided in almost 2500 active sessions annually. It also recognises the dedication and enthusiasm of our coaches providing sport for all. Whether on the playing field or in the classroom, our coaches shine when working with the young and not so young."�
